Sam Messina came to us hoping we could build the bass he'd been dreaming of for quite some time. Well, that's just what we do here.

He knew he wanted it all white and he wanted all of the tuners on the top side of the heads. I knew this would be tricky with the eight string and we suggested banjo tuners for the octave strings. He liked the idea and suggested the Steinbergers instead. Bingo!

This bass has an Alder body and two Fender licensed necks, both with ebony fretboards and one an eight string. It has stacked pots for individual volume control over all four of the active EMG pickups and a shared tone. It also has Shaller bridges, sealed tuners from AllParts and four Steinberger guitar tuners for the octave strings.
