One day I realized that I had a couple of unspoken for Fender licensed bass necks so I build a doubleneck. Seemed logical. Guess I'm lucky I didn't have three. I thought the black hardware would look great against a sunburst paintjob. After shooting the burst I liked how I could still feel the wood grain so instead of shooting it with a big, thick, tone killing clearcoat, I only gave it a couple shots of satin lacquer to just kinda seal everything in. A nice contrast to the shiny black hardware. Toss in some passive EMGs and we're good to go.
